SUPPORTER INFO | York City (H)

Wealdstone make a welcome return to Vanarama National League action on Saturday for the start of the 2023/24 campaign and begin by hosting York City at Grosvenor Vale.

For some supporters it might be your first visit, or for others you may not have been to The Vale since last season, so here's a handy guide on what to expect for our first matchday of the season.

Turnstiles

Turnstiles will open at 1:45pm and we kindly ask all supporters – home and away – to arrive early to ensure you are in the ground in plenty of time for the 3:00pm kick off.

Season ticket collection

Wealdstone supporters intending to pick up their season ticket pre-match from the ticket box should arrive early as many tickets remain uncollected, so a wait should be expected.

Segregation

This match will be segregated with York supporters allocated the MODU Stand for seating and the Shots Stand for standing both at the Gun Turret End of the stadium. York supporters must use the away turnstiles which are clearly signposted at the entrance to Grosvenor Vale.

Clubhouse

The Vale Social Club within The Grosvenor Vale Stadium Complex will be open to both Wealdstone and York supporters pre match all of whom are invited to sample some of the fine beverages on sale all at competitive prices.

There are no restrictions on entry to The Vale but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The bar will be open from 12 noon. Post-match The Vale will remain open but to Wealdstone supporters only with the Man of the Match award to be presented in the Main Hall at around 5:15pm.

Food & Refreshments

A full food menu provided by our award-winning match day caterers DD's is available to all supporters and a wide range of options are offered.

Tickets

Tickets will be available to purchase at the turnstiles for both Wealdstone and York fans and both cash and credit cards are accepted. However, supporters are reminded that tickets can be purchased in advance online for a discount up to an hour before kick off.

A large attendance is expected so we encourage all fans to purchase online in advance to minimise queuing time at the turnstile.

John Moules - RIP

Both clubs were deeply saddened to hear of the passing on Sunday of John Moules, the former secretary of the National League 1994-1998 followed by Chief Executive 1999-2008, and there will be a minutes silence on Saturday prior to kick off in honour of John.

Matchday programme

The award-winning matchday programme will be available to purchase at the entrance to Grosvenor Vale site and at various points outside the stadium.

Club Shop

The club shop will also be open throughout the day, fully stocked with our brand new Kelme home and third strips, plus other Wealdstone goodies.

Car Parking & Public Transport

Ample parking is available at Grosvenor Vale for a fee of £5 and the car park will be open from 12 noon. Access to the Grosvenor Vale Car Park for all vehicles will cease at 2:40pm with the entire area becoming pedestrianised to allow fans on foot to arrive safely to the stadium.

We encourage all fans to travel to the game by public transport. Grosvenor Vale has great access to local railway and underground stations: Ruislip and Ruislip Manor are both on the Metropolitan Line and Piccadilly Line; whilst West Ruislip and Ruislip Gardens are on the Central Line.

West Ruislip is also on the Chiltern Main line out of London Marylebone. Ruislip station & Ruislip Manor are just over 5 minute walk away from Grosvenor Vale, while Ruislip Gardens is around a 10 minute walk.

Access to parking at the Grosvenor Vale stadium is limited to Wealdstone players and officials only. Any vehicle attempting to gain access to the stadium who has not had prior authorisation by the clubs General Manager will be turned away. There is also no access or parking for supporter coaches.

Updated ground regulations There are some slight changes to ground regulations for the 2023/24 season, which we have highlighted HERE, we ask all supporters to familiarise themselves with the new regulations to ensure the safest and most positive matchday experience for all in the stadium.

And last but not least We sincerely hope that both sets of fans enjoy the game!
