LOAN NEWS | Clayden extends for rest of season
Wealdstone are delighted to confirm that winger Charles Clayden has had his loan deal from Charlton Athletic extended for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year old initially joined the Stones on a one-month loan deal and has made seven appearances so far, scoring once in the defeat away to Eastleigh.
Speaking after today's match against Stockport County, Clayden said: "It was a disappointing result in the end especially after having the lead at half time, they came out second half with a greater intensity and we have to manage that better going forward, but can take a lot of positives from the first half considering the run they've been on."
"I've enjoyed my time here so far and it was a no brainer to extend until the end of the season and continue to gain experience and play as many games as I can.
"I want to continue to help the team as much as I can and push to win as many games as possible to finish as high as we can in the table."
And Stones boss Stuart Maynard said: "Charles has got an incredibly bright future in the game with a lot of pace to burn.
"We're luck to have him here and we thank Charlton for allowing us to extend both his and Aaron Henry's loans to the end of the season and they've been top players for us since they've come in and have really lifted the levels all around the group."
We once again thank Charlton for their co-operation and we look forward to keeping Charles with us a little longer.
