Wealdstone welcome EFL League Two side AFC Wimbledon to Grosvenor Vale this Saturday in the final pre-season friendly of Stuart Maynard's 2023/24 National League preparations.

A reminder to supporters that Saturday's friendly will kick off at the earlier time of 1pm, with the Dons now playing the hosts in place of Nottingham Forest U23s, tickets that were purchased in the bundle offer or for the Forest game directly will remain valid for this match.

The Stones and Wimbledon used to regularly brush shoulders in the Southern League back in the 1970s before the Dons propelled up the pyramid into the Premier League.

Both clubs share plenty of links namely former Manager Allen Batsford thriving in spells with both clubs, and his former Dons assistant Brian Hall guiding the Stones to the non-league double in 1985, with future Crazy Gang member and 1988 FA Cup winner Vinnie Jones a part of that Stones squad.

The clubs last met back in 2008 when AFC Wimbledon beat the Stones 6-1 at Kingsmeadow on their way to Isthmian Premier League promotion that year.

Saturday's visitors are currently unbeaten in pre-season having beaten Reading, Metropolitan Police and Portsmouth and drawing with Woking and QPR, the Stones are coming off the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat to League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

Tickets for the match are available both online and at the turnstile on the day via cash or card payment. Tickets are at a discounted pre-season rate of £10 Adults, £5 Concessions and £4 U18s.

Season tickets are also available to collect from the ticket booth before the game, collections will be available from midday.

We will also have on-field parking available and open to both sets of supporters, this will be charged at £5 per vehicle.
