The Board of Directors would like to wish everyone connected with the club a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2020 has been an unprecedented time in so many ways and our first thoughts must go those who are no longer with us. We started the year with some fantastic results and special away days before the suspension of the league and the wait to be crowned champions of the National League South on points per game. The confirmation that our first season back at the pinnacle of Non-League in over 30 years was to be behind closed doors was not in the script, and whilst justified in the wider context, it was a sucker punch to all those who have worked so hard to get there. We set a realistic budget based on our financial projections for the season with the future of the club first and foremost in our minds. The additional aid from supporters has really helped Dean retain the services of key players and strengthen the squad at key times. As we move into the Christmas period, we sit 7th in the table which is not only testament to Dean, Stuart and the players but also the togetherness we have shown as a wider family. A special thank you to all those that give their time and/or money to support the club. Casual fans of clubs will never know the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes just to get to kick off on a matchday. There will still be challenges in 2021 but with effective vaccines on the horizon we know that having fans back on the terraces is not a matter of if but when, remain confident and supportive and the club will continue to thrive with the great support we have. Stay safe over the festive period we look forward to continuing the journey in the new year together. Wishing you all Merry Christmas, the best present one can hope for will be 3 points on Boxing Day. Rory Fitzgerald Chairman
