Wealdstone FC is delighted to announce the return of defender Connor McAvoy, who has rejoined the club on loan from Premier League side Fulham until the end of the season.

The highly-rated 22-year-old centre-back is no stranger to Grosvenor Vale, having previously enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Stones during the 2021/22 season. McAvoy quickly became a fan favourite in his first stint, making 28 appearances and contributing significantly to the team's defensive stability. His composed performances and ability to read the game earned him widespread praise and made him an integral part of the squad.

Since then, McAvoy has continued to develop his skills at Fulham, featuring regularly for their U21 side in the Premier League 2 competition and training alongside some of the best talents in the Premier League. He has also enjoyed loan spells in Scotland with Partick Thistle and Ayr United.

Connor is also a Scotland youth international, with 6 caps at U17 level, 3 caps for the U18s, 4 caps for the U19s and 5 caps for the U21s.

Speaking about his return to Wealdstone, McAvoy expressed his enthusiasm:"I have great memories of my time here and I’m excited to be back. I’ve always appreciated the support from the fans and the club and I’m looking forward to giving my all to help the team achieve its goals this season."

We would like to extend our gratitude to Fulham for facilitating the loan deal and enabling Connor’s return to the Stones.
