THE DETAILS

Wealdstone v Aldershot Town Vanarama National League Grosvenor Vale

Saturday 23rd January, 3:00pm kick-off

HOW TO WATCH

Elite football across the country is currently being played behind closed doors. We are live streaming Saturday's game with Aldershot Town and you can purchase your streaming pass HERE.

THE CONTEXT Both sides progressed into the last 16 of the FA Trophy in midweek with Wealdstone earning a comfortable 3-1 victory over National League North leaders Gloucester City, whilst Aldershot had to fight off a battling Solihull Moors side at their EBB Stadium to win 3-2. The two sides are closely matched in the league after both playing 16 games, with an equal record and points tally, although the Shots sit one place above the Stones in 14th on goal difference.

TEAM NEWS Josh Meekings made his debut against Gloucester and completed a strong 90-minute performance after not playing since March, whilst Alex Dyer and Charlee Hughes both made comebacks from injury in that game, too. Moses Emmanuel was subbed with a slight knock but should be available on Saturday. Dan Wishart will also be available after picking up a slight injury in the defeat to Hartlepool earlier this month. Connor Stevens has begun his return from a knee injury but remains a few weeks away from a return and Ross Lafayette and Danny Parish remain sidelined.

WHAT WAS SAID? Dean Brennan: "They're going to be a tough game, there's no easy games in this division. Aldershot are a tough side that are well managed, well coached and have some good players. It will be a tough test."

WHO TO WATCH FOR? Ricky Miller: Miller joined the Shots this month after a year out of the game having been at Port Vale in EFL League Two previously. He is best known for his prolific spell with Dover Athletic scoring 65 goals in two and a half season for the Whites in the National League, which earned him a move to Peterborough United in League One. He is also well-known to Stones fans too, after spending a brief spell at Grosvenor Vale in 2011.
