Stones loan Dons' Bird

Milton Keynes Dons 20-year old striker Jay Bird has joined Wealdstone on a loan deal until January.

The forward player will go straight into Stuart Maynard's squad to face Torquay United on the weekend.

The Hartlepool-born forward has been in the Dons' academy since the age of eight and has made five first team appearances for the club so far, scoring three times, including two on his debut against Stevenage in the EFL Trophy.

Bird has also spent time out on loan at Hitchin Town during the 2019/20 but his spell was cut short after two games after picking up an injury.
