STATEMENT: Semaca Confirmed As Majority Shareholder

WEALDSTONE FOOTBALL CLUB is delighted to announce Nick Semaca is, officially, its new majority shareholder.

Final paperwork has been ratified and lodged, confirming the American investor as holding 50.1 per cent of the club's available shares.

And, happily, the club is also able to retain its roots in fan ownership, with dedicated followers across the globe continuing to own a small stake in their beloved Stones.

Indeed, Wealdstone's popular membership scheme - soon to be offered to fans along with season ticket sales - will continue to give supporters the chance to own a slice of their own club.

The Board of Directors warmly welcomes Nick to the Wealdstone family and conveys its warmest wishes to him, wife Jenny and all of their family at this hugely significant moment in the recent history of Wealdstone FC - a club steeped in history and core community values.

Said Nick: "In all of the time [I've been waiting for this to happen], none of the things that got me excited about Wealdstone have changed.

"That support, that energy, that backing, that feeling of community; all of those were reasons I wanted to join the Wealdstone family and that's the main reason I'm here."

You'll hear from Nick in much greater depth via a video interview that's soon to be published, from which key points will also be transcribed into a website & app article to follow up on his initial quotes in this statement.
