SIGNED: Tyrelle Newton Makes Loan Move

Wealdstone Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tyrelle Newton on loan from Gateshead until the end of the season.

Newton joined Gateshead on a permanent deal in the summer of 2024 and has since made more than 50 appearances for the Heed across his first two seasons at the club, scoring six goals.

The midfielder came through the academy system at Luton Town and signed his first professional contract with The Hatters in 2022. 

As a young player he gained senior experience in the National League South through loan spells with Cheshunt and Hemel Hempstead Town.

He made 13 league appearances for Cheshunt during the 2022/23 season before featuring 19 times in the National League South for Hemel during the opening half of the following campaign. 

Newton now links up with Gary Waddock’s squad for the remainder of the season and adds further energy and competition to the Stones midfield.
