STATEMENT FROM THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF WEALDSTONE FC

Following two recent incidents during a match at The Vale, the Executive Board has expressed its disappointment that it has been necessary to act on these matters and has issued a clear warning as to future behaviour of a very small minority of spectators.

It is regrettable that following these incidents that occurred during the recent Woking match the club has been charged by the Football Association. We have carried out extensive investigations, working with our staff and stewarding company partner and have responded comprehensively to the FA and await the outcome.

Pitch encroachment is a clear breach of our ground regulations and will not be tolerated. The individual concerned has been identified by body camera technology and has been issued with a lengthy banning order and a warning as to future conduct, subject to a right of appeal.

Whilst investigations continue to identify the individual concerned with the second incident we also wish to make it clear that the Board’s policy will be zero tolerance and severe banning orders will be issued.

It is disappointing that such behaviour has occurred and that it has been necessary to institute bans but we will not allow the reputation of the club to be tarnished in this manner and a strict ground regulation enforcement policy will be adhered to.

Ground regulations apply to home and away supporters and are published in our match day programme and around the ground.

We wish to thank you for your great support and adherence to our ground regulations at all times and your cooperation with our stewarding staff.
