SAJ VIGNESWARAN APPOINTED AS MANAGER OF THE NEW WEALDSTONE FC WOMENS TEAM

Wealdstone is delighted to announce the appointment of Saj Vigneswaran as the inaugural Wealdstone FC Womens manager.

Saj is well known in the South East having established himself in the grassroots and development scene across the Region, with a clear tactical identity and a strong track record in both the men’s and women’s game.

He joins Wealdstone while also working as Football Development Manager at Watford FC CSE Trust, where he leads the Post-16 Education Programme in Harrow and coaches at the Player Development Centre. Alongside this, he also works as a First Team/Goalkeeper coach Coach at Northwood FC having previously managed CB Hounslow & Abbots FC, guiding them from Division 3 to Division 1 in the Middlesex County League. He also serves as the club’s Vice Chairman.

Saj brings valuable experience from the women’s game, having held coaching roles with CB Hounslow Ladies and London Bees under former Republic of Ireland international Marie Hourihan.

Currently completing his UEFA B Licence (due July 2025), Saj’s appointment reflects Wealdstone ambition to build aprogressive, inclusive, high-performing footballing environment rooted in development, identity, and long-term success.

Newly appointed Head of Women Football Gabi Racut said: “Saj is an innovative manager who has already gained significant experience throughout his career, and we have been extremely impressed both by his track record and our conversations with him.”

Saj said: “I’m very proud and excited to have joined Wealdstone – there is huge potential here and we have a great opportunity to start something special. The project that has explained to me is very impressive and, all together, I believe we can become a successful team with a very positive future”.
