THE CONTEXT

At the turn of the year Chesterfield led-by James Rowe were challenging for the title and scoring at Stamford Bridge against European champions Chelsea in the FA Cup, but they have hiccuped slightly after spending the majority of the season within the top three, affected by the long-term injury that hit top scorer Kabongo Tshimanga and manager James Rowe dismissed. Experienced EFL manager Paul Cook has returned to take the Spireites hotseat but has suffered with indifferent form as they pine for their talisman Tshimanga.

TEAM NEWS

Stones boss Stuart Maynard will be without long-term absentee Andrew Eleftheriou. Charlie Cooper and Medy Elito both missed the Maidenhead game with injuries although did feature in the warm-up. Ashley Charles was replaced with an injury and his situation is being monitored.
