MATCH REPORT | Wealdstone 0-3 Chelmsford City
National League South’s Chelmsford City comfortably defeated National League side Wealdstone at The Vale.
A brace from Tom Blackwell, along with a penalty from Simeon Jackson sealed a convincing victory for the Clarets.
Wealdstone nearly led on the seventh minute mark when Max Kretzschmar shot on target, but the Clarets produced a vital goal line clearance to deny the Stones.
Robbie Simpson’s men then drew first blood as striker Blackwell found space at the far post to head home past Wealdstone’s Trialist goalkeeper, after just 13 minutes.
The Clarets doubled their lead in the 52nd minute when Jackson converted from the penalty spot, following Jack Cook’s foul.
Blackwell notched his second at the death, producing a fine finish from inside the area in the 89th minute.
