Jack Cook awarded Vanarama Player of the Month

Wealdstone captain Jack Cook has been awarded the Vanarama National League Player of the Month for November.

It was a good month for Cookie, leading a back line to clean sheets in the 1-0 win away at Altrincham and the 0-0 home draw against title challengers Wrexham.

The month peaked for the Stones skipper away to York City, knocking in a 95th minute winner to send the vociferous Wealdstone faithful home from Yorkshire with a 2-1 win.

And he capped the month off captaining the Stones to a 3-1 win over Scunthorpe United, who were recently relegated from EFL League Two.

The delighted skipper said: "It's an honour to receive this award, it wouldn't have been possible without the team on the pitch with me as well as the coaching staff.

"We gained 10 points from 12 in November as well as a record crowd at The Vale, so it shows the progress of the club, and we are all determined to continue this success into the new year."

"Wishing all our fans a Merry Christmas and I hope to see you all at The Vale over the festive period."

And you can see the Stones at home this Boxing Day and the skipper awarded his trophy when Maidenhead United visit Ruislip, tickets are available HERE.
