INTERNATIONALS | Charles and Dyer play in CONCACAF Nations League

Two Wealdstone players featured in international duty this week with both Ashley Charles and Alex Dyer featuring for Grenada and Montserrat in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Charles earned his first three caps for Grenada in their 3-1 defeat to El Salvador before then featuring once more in the reverse fixture, where the Spice Boys earned a memorable 2-2 draw with the Latin American side.

The 23-year old midfielder who had just signed a new deal with the Stones before flying out for international duty, then played in a 5-0 defeat to the USA in front of a 20,000 plus crowd in Austin, Texas.

Dyer made his 19th, 20th and 21st appearances for the Emerald Boys. He played in marginal defeats to Guyana and Haiti which ended 2-1 and 3-2 before featuring in a 3-2 win over Bermuda.

Former Stones defender Dean Mason also played in all-three games meaning the two players hold the joint-record for caps with the Montserrat national team.
