Fasanmade commits for next season

Wealdstone have signed 21-year old forward Craig Fasanmade on a permanent deal from National League South side Hungerford Town.

The pacy forward has impressed in his loan spell at the Stones this season where he made a total of four appearances and scoring once, in the Stones 5-1 win over Barnet on Easter Monday.

Fasanmade's signing was made after his loan deal with the Stones had expired and after the registration deadline for National League clubs meaning he will not feature now until the new season begins.

Stones boss Stuart Maynard had this to say on the signing: "We're delighted to sign Craig, it's a shame we couldn't get it done before the window ended but there was interest from other clubs.

"But he's chosen us, he likes the plans and what we're looking to do moving forward and he wants to be part of it. It's a great signing and he's a great lad with great enthusiasm and one of those who gives everything when he steps onto the pitch.

"He's got unbelievable pace and his attitude is spot on, I think it's a really good addition."

He had impressed in the Crusaders side that maintained a regular play-off position in the National League South before their season was cut short.

Fasanmade has also represented Oxford City before joining Hungerford, where he spent three seasons after being released by SkyBet Championship club Reading as a youngster.
