THE CONTEXT

With Wealdstone's postponement against Dover Athletic confirmed on Friday afternoon, Eastleigh had a chance to move within two points of second placed Stones when they faced Hartlepool United in the late kick off being broadcast live on BT Sport. Unfortunately for the Spitfires, a torrential downpour at their Silverlake Stadium caused the game to be abandoned at half time with the scores at 0-0.

TEAM NEWS

Charlie Wakefield served the final game of his three-match suspension meaning he is now available. Connor Stevens has suffered a further injury setback which could leave him out of action for another six weeks, whilst Charlee Hughes remains out on loan at Concord Rangers.
