Updated: May 23
We held our Supporters' Club End of Season awards night at The Vale Social Club following our 2-1 win over King's Lynn Town last Saturday.
We thank each and every one of you that attended and that had voted in the build-up to the event and it was Jack Cook who claimed the famous Jock Law Trophy for Supporters' Player of the Season on the evening.
The defender has been formidable since joining from Woking in the summer and his performances have proven popular with the supporters.
George Wickens scooped two awards too, the on-loan Fulham keeper has amassed 12 clean sheets this season and won both Players' Player of the Season and the Stuart Pearce Shield for Junior Stones Player of the Season as well.
Fellow Fulham loanee Connor McAvoy won the Stonescast Player of the Season whilst Jaydn Mundle-Smith's goal away to Barnet was voted Goal of the Season in the award sponsored by our matchday footage providers FC Video.
Josh Umerah's 16 goals so far this season helped him win the Golden Boot with the striker picking out his goal at home to Eastleigh as his favourite one of the season.
Stones skipper Jerome Okimo also won a special award for making his 250th Wealdstone appearance this season. The defender won the Isthmian Premier League in his first spell in 2013/14 before returning in 2017 where he captained the side to the National League South title in the 2019/20 season.
We'd also like to thank Stones stalwart Ray Corner, who won the Mark Barton Memorial Shield for Supporter of the Season. Ray has been there, seen it, done it with the club over the many years and we're all delighted that he was given proper recognition in front of his fellow supporters and club staff on the night.
Dave Reader won the President's Award and we also thanked our retiring volunteers for their service over the many years spent at Grosvenor Vale.
