Welcome To Wealdstone, Steven Turner!

Wealdstone Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of 19-year-old midfielder Steven Turner!

Turner is a left-footed midfielder who prides himself on his excellent technical ability.

He has been at his current club, Ipswich Town, since he was seven years old, signing his first scholarship in the summer of 2022.

The midfielder was part of the Tractor Boys’ side that won the Professional Development League Cup in the 2021/22 season.

After impressing for the under-18 team, April of 2024 saw the youngster sign his first professional deal with Kieran McKenna’s side, before graduating to the under-21 level.

The Englishman has started this season as the captain of Ipswich’s under-21 side, who currently sit top of the Premier League 2 table, and are one of just two unbeaten sides.

Turner himself has played a sizeable role for the team, scoring once in his five league appearances.
