WELCOME TO WEALDSTONE, SAK HASSAN

Wealdstone FC have confirmed the signing of dynamic winger Sak Hassan from Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Hashtag United.

The 24-year-old wide man arrives at Grosvenor Vale following two standout seasons with Hashtag United, where he firmly established himself as one of the most exciting attacking players outside of the National League.

In the 2023/24 season Hassan tallied an impressive 17 assists and 7 goals, drawing widespread attention for his ability to influence matches from wide positions. He took his game to new heights last season, finishing the 2024/25 campaign with 16 assists and 17 goals in all competitions, helping to propel Hashtag United into 8th place in the league table and underscored his readiness for the next level.

Hassan is a versatile attacking forward that can beat opponents 1v1, create and score goals. Known for his explosive pace, clever footwork and relentless drive in the final third, his consistency and creativity have made him a nightmare for defenders across the Isthmian League.

Beyond his domestic success, Sak Hassan brings valuable international experience. He has earned 10 caps for Somalia, scoring two goals since making his debut in 2022. He has featured prominently in African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers, proving himself on a broader stage.

Stones manager Sam Cox had this to say about his new signing;

"I'm delighted with the signing of Sak Hassan, he's a player I've been following and monitoring for a few years now. I thought he was a fantastic young man and when I watched him play he was very impressive.

I think he's a player the fans are going to really take to, exciting on the eye, creative, good in 1v1 situations and he'll provide alot of attacking threat in the final third. He's had a really interesting journey, coming from the lower levels of non-league football and working his way up, still only 24 years old. He's a player I feel I can develop and help get the best out of. He reminds me alot of a player who arrived here (at Wealdstone) many years ago in my playing days, Abo Eisa, who has gone on to have a successful career - the two of them have very similar traits. I'm really delighted to get this one over the line as we continue building for the start of the season, it's another step in the right direction for where we want to go."
