WELCOME TO WEALDSTONE, OMAR MUSSA

We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of midfielder Omar Mussa from Torquay United.

The 6 foot 24-year-old Belgian born midfielder boats an array of technical and physical qualities, complimenting his position in the centre of midfield.

Beginning his career in his birthplace, Omar was a youth player in the ranks of Anderlecht and then MK Mechelen, before moving over to England in 2019 to join League One side Walsall.

Spells in the National League with Dover Athletic and Weymouth followed respectively, before making the move to Dagenham & Redbridge at the start of the 2022/23 campaign for an undisclosed fee.

Omar would spend 2 seasons in the National League with the Daggers, making 39 appearances and scoring three goals, including a 25 yard effort against the Stones at Grosvenor Vale in August 2023.

Torquay United would be Omar’s next club, joining at the start of the 2024/25 campaign, where he became a fans favourite for his ‘magic’ and ability to do the unexpected.

Omar made 41 appearances across all competitions, helping the Gulls to the National League South play-off in one of the most competitive title battles of all time in that division.

At international level, Omar has represented Belgium U18s, making two appearances in 2017, before switching allegiances to Burundi in 2023, where he has since earnt three caps for the senior squad, making his debut in a World Cup Qualifying match.

Omar's signing is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
