Wealdstone Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of 22-year-old forward Nathan Young-Coombes on a short-term agreement.

 

The London-born man has a tremendous pedigree at youth level, having spent time in the academies of Crystal Palace and Chelsea before moving to Glasgow Rangers in 2019.

 

The Englishman also has multiple caps for his country at youth level from under 15 to under u17. He scored once in three appearances for England’s under-17 side in 2019.

 

Following his move to Scotland, Young-Coombes starred for Rangers in the UEFA Youth League before playing four times for the club’s B-team in the Scottish Challenge Cup.

 

The summer of 2021 saw the forward move back to England with Brentford, and he thrived during the 2021/22 season.

 

Young-Coombes scored a staggering 34 goals for Brentford’s B-team as he won their Player of the Season award, and he also featured on the bench for the first-team multiple times, making one substitute appearance for Thomas Frank’s side.

 

He spent the first half of the following campaign on loan in League Two with AFC Wimbledon. The attacker scored three times and created three assists in just 11 league appearances for the Wombles.
