WELCOME TO WEALDSTONE, MOUSSA DIARRA

ree

We are delighted to announce the signing of French-born defender Moussa Diarra, following a successful trial in pre-season!

Diarra was born in Trappes, on the outskirts of Paris, before moving to England in the early 2010s.

Much of his early career in English football came in the Southern League and Isthmian League Premier Division playing for St Albans City, Hemel Hempstead Town and Hampton and Richmond Borough.

The towering defender impressed with the Beavers during the 2015/16 campaign, playing 45 games and scoring 12 goals.

This earned him a move to National League side Barrow, where he was an ever-present for the next two seasons, making 87 appearances and scoring eight goals for the Bluebirds.

After a short spell with Dover Athletic at the start of the 2018/19 season, he moved to Woking on loan and helped the Cards to secure promotion from the National League South via the playoffs.

The 35-year-old went on to make over 100 appearances for Woking and, after a stint at Barnet, took his appearance tally in the fifth tier to over 200 games.

Diarra spent last season with Eastbourne Borough, making 35 league appearances for the Sports as they narrowly missed out on promotion from the National League South.
