Wealdstone to host Charlton Athletic

We can confirm that we will now play the first team of EFL League One side Charlton Athletic in a pre-season friendly at Grosvenor Vale on Saturday 22nd July at 3pm, completing our 23/24 pre-season schedule.

The two clubs continue to strengthen their working relationship, which has seen promising Charlton youngsters gain valuable first team experience at National League level for the Stones.

Charlton's Aaron Henry and Deji Elerewe have both impressed in their time on loan with the Stones and have strengthened their first team prospects at the south-east London club, whilst Wealdstone's most recent signings Charlie Barker and winger Charles Clayden have both made their stays at The Vale permanent following their departure from the Addicks.

Barker captained a Charlton U23s side that beat the Stones at The Vale last pre-season, with Henry assisting the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win.

Tickets for the game are priced at:

Adults - £10

Concessions - £5 U18s - £4

These are available both online and at the turnstiles. This will also be the same price structure for our friendlies at home to Milton Keynes Dons and Nottingham Forest U23s.

The Stones' friendly away to Bedford Town that afternoon at 1pm, currently remains in place with Dale Welch and Kenny Mutsanya taking a Wealdstone XI to The New Eyrie.
