Full Job Description
Wealdstone Football Club are seeking a highly organised & energetic individual for the role of General Manager to help ensure the club operates, safely and efficiently representing the Clubs values & spirit of Quality and Excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure the smooth and cost-effective management of Wealdstone FC matchdays and other events at the site and stadium
Arrange stewarding, volunteers, gate and other matchday staff for all matches at The Vale stadium
Propose matchday arrangements for Wealdstone FC games to cover segregation, away ticket allocation, stewarding, car access, police, programmes etc.
Manage matchday staffing, costs and revenues and identify opportunities to improve the matchday experience and revenue streams
Ensuring the Club meets all licensing requirements
Ensure that WFC’s Safeguarding, Health, Safety, and Equal Opportunity procedures and practices are upheld in relation to all footballing and non-football matters.
Be ultimately responsible for ensuring that WFC is compliant with all statutory requirements covering fire risk assessments, general risk assessments, commercial, employer and public liability insurance, food hygiene, stadium match day requirements and event management.
Ensure the cost-effective management of the site including safety, repairs and maintenance, waste removal, utilities, insurance etc.
Co-ordinate contractors / volunteers on site for agreed maintenance and infrastructure works
Manage utility spend and chosen suppliers in conjunction with The Vale to ensure costs are minimised including annual insurance scope and renewal, site waste removal etc.
Support the development of the club’s community programme to build relationship with local schools and colleges to drive awareness and promote matches and events
Build and maintain relationships with local schools and colleges and propose incentives to encourage attendance at games
Investigate opportunities for above local schools and colleges to promote WFC matches
Explore work experience and employment opportunities (media, commercial, marketing, bar, matchday etc.)
Commercial co-ordination and relationship management
Maintain a database off all sponsors, (contact details, commercial terms etc.)
Manage the administration of sponsorship deals, (signed agreements, invoices etc.)
Maintain regular contact with sponsors (e-mail updates, Xmas cards, thank you correspondence, programmes etc.)
Promote events and actively seek revenue opportunities for consideration including use of the social facilities, outdoor areas, stadium and car park etc.
Explore opportunities for stadium hire, car park usage, sports days, local football club awards nights, use by film companies etc.

Capable of working independently and as part of a team
Maintain a supportive & flexible approach in response to our supporters & the Club’s needs
Interact positively & courteously with other staff - continuously striving to be innovative & solution orientated
1-2 years’ previous similar experience in a Management Role.
Flexibility to work additional hours on weekends and before/after hours as required.
Accurate with a keen sense of deadline awareness.
Articulate and good communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Sound administrative, process and time management skills
Sound IT & MS Office Skills
Job Details Hours: 30 Hours a week, incl Evening & Saturday home matchdays. Holiday: 15 Days per annum Trial Period: 4 Months Reporting to: Chairman of Wealdstone Football Club
