SIGNED: Nathaniel-George Joins On Loan From York

WINGER Ashley Nathaniel-George has joined on loan from York City until the end of the season, Wealdstone FC is pleased to confirm.

The experienced Antigua & Barbuda international adds an immediate extra option for Stones' boss Gary Waddock, having last featured for the Minstermen as a sub against the Stones at The Vale back in mid-February.

Arriving at the LNER Stadium from Maidenhead United in summer 2024, the 30-year-old played nearly 40 times and started the 2024/25 National League Play-Off Final as City were denied a Football League return by Oldham Athletic.

The wide forward began his football career within the academy ranks of Arsenal and Watford, before moving via Wycombe Wanderers to Wealdstone's youth set-up - before getting his first senior breakthrough at Potters Bar Town in 2015. Spells at Hendon, Crawley Town and Southend United preceded his move to the Magpies in Autumn 2022.

With opportunities at York this season limited to 10 substitute appearances due to the outstanding form of his colleagues, Nathaniel-George played twice on loan at Hartlepool United earlier this term and arrives at The Vale fresh and ready to fire during a key time in Wealdstone's season.

Everyone at the club warmly welcomes Ashley to the Stones.
