WEALDSTONE FC is pleased to confirm the signing of midfielder Jack Hinchy from League Two promotion-chasers Notts County, on a loan deal until the end of this season.
The 23-year-old played for the Pies in league action as recently as mid-February, one of three appearances for his parent club during this campaign.
If the name rings a bell with Royals' fans, then that might be because the first game he featured in on loan at Altrincham earlier this term was a 1-1 draw here at The Vale back in early October.
He played a further three times for Alty before County recalled the playmaker due to several midfield injuries at Meadow Lane.
Having joined Brighton & Hove Albion's academy set-up in 2021 from the youth section at Stockport County, Hinchy played a couple of times in Seagulls' colours and took in a loan at Shrewsbury Town in the latter part of the 2023/24 campaign.
Since signing for Notts permanently in summer 2024, the Swindon-born schemer has racked up 34 first-team appearances along with one senior career goal to his name.
Said Stones' boss Gary Waddock of Hinchy's capture: "Jack's a good character and a really good footballer.
"He trained yesterday (Monday March 2) and settled in really well.
"I know he's the type of player the club has been looking for so I'm delighted to have him in our group," added Waddock.
"He gets on the ball and wants to play, bringing that calmness and composure.
"I'm sure Jack will have a lot to contribute during his time here with us."
