Wealdstone FC can confirm the departure of goalkeeper Sam Howes, who has joined EFL League Two champions Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee.

Sam, who was in his third spell at the Stones, won the Players' Player of the Season and Junior Stones Player of the Season for his efforts last term, making 55 appearances in total for the club.

He played in every minute of every game last season with his form earning him his first England 'C' cap.

Stones Chairman Rory Fitzgerald said: "We thank Sam for his efforts in a Wealdstone shirt. The fee was acceptable to the club for a player in the last year of his contract, we wish Sam all the best with his future career in League One."
