THE CONTEXT

Huish Park is where Wealdstone's National League journey continued last season after a 30-plus year hiatus. Stones fans make their first trip to the Glovers' Huish Park after missing last seasons opener due to the COVID pandemic, making a first visit to Yeovil for Stones fans since the double-winning season of 1984/85, where a 2-0 win in September send the champions elect away with a valuable three points at Yeovil's intimidating former home The Huish.

TEAM NEWS

Ashley Charles returned to the squad on Saturday but didn't get off the bench in a 2-1 defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge. Stones will be without long-term absentee Andrew Eleftheriou and also keeper George Wickens who suffered a concussion in training last week, new loan signing Sam Howes will deputise after making his debut at the start of the weekend.

WHAT WAS SAID? Stuart Maynard: "They're a side with lots of pace all over the pitch, myself and Matty [Saunders] will start looking at them over the weekend and come up with a game plan for Monday and plan for the game. Charlie Lee has come in and took temporary charge for them and picked up some really positive results, so we need to assess and see if they're playing in the same shape they were playing in, with the same personnel or whether he's tweaked them or not."

The 31-year old has bags of EFL experience, notching up over 200 appearances at Dagenham & Redbridge, Luton Town and Stevenage. Wilkinson was named Glovers captain this season following the tragic passing of last season's skipper Lee Collins.
