THE CONTEXT

Wealdstone travel to a Dagenham and Redbridge side who are sitting just one point and one place above the Stones. The Daggers have conceded 33 goals so far this season, with only Dorking Wanderers, Maidstone United and Barnet having conceded more.

Stuart Maynard’s side are looking to bounce back from a run of five straight defeats in all competitions, whilst under pressure Dagenham boss Daryl McMahon has seen his luck get even worse recently, with top marksman Paul McCallum believed to be a long-term absentee following an injury suffered at FC Halifax Town on Saturday. McMahon has brought in two attacking players on loan in the past week, with lively winger Tyreke Johnson joining on a month’s loan from Woking, and Sam Smart joining from Halifax, also on a month’s loan.

TEAM NEWS Stuart Maynard hinted at a return for Nathan Ferguson on Saturday. Max Kretzschmar won’t be ready in time for the visit to East London, and Simeon Akinola will be hoping to make his first start in a Stones shirt. Lewis Kinsella, Ashley Charles and Malachi Napa all missed the midweek defeat to Notts County and may also miss this Saturday's fixture.

ONE TO WATCH

Junior Morias might have been looked at as an interesting signing when he joined from struggling Kings Lynn Town just under a year ago, but the forward has found some real form in East London. 20 goals from 41 games, including six so far this season, has seen the 27-year-old become a key man for McMahon.
