PREVIEW | St Albans City (A)

Wealdstone begin their pre-season campaign away to National League South side St Albans City on Tuesday evening at Clarence Park. The fixture will kick off at 7:45pm.

The Stones will be hoping to avoid a repeat of last season's friendly, in which City won 4-0. Wealdstone did win the last competitive match between the two in a tight 1-0 victory at Grosvenor Vale in 2019, Dennon Lewis scored the winner on that day.

St Albans are well into their pre-season routine now, with tomorrow night's fixture their fourth this season after playing Arlesey Town, Stevenage and Kings Langley, winning two and losing one.

Despite the scheduled game away to Rayners Lane being postponed, the Stones did manage a training ground friendly away to Hayes & Yeading United on Saturday, winning 2-1 with Ashley Charles and Craig Fasanmade the scorers.

COVID restriction remain in place at St Albans' Clarence Park ground and they have updated their latest COVID-19 Plan and Spectator Code of Conduct following the latest relaxation of COVID rules this week by the UK government.

We understand that for many Stones supporters this will be the first away trip since last pre-season, so we advise any Wealdstone supporters attending tomorrow to read through and familiarise yourself with their code of conduct HERE before attending.

St Albans City operate a cashless stadium too, meaning no tickets will be available on the turnstile on the day of the game, all supporters must purchase their tickets through the Saints' online ticketing platform HERE, supporters can buy on the day of the game right up until kick off but must do so through the link provided. Turnstiles open from 6pm.

Refreshment facilities will be available in the ground, with the clubhouse open and taking orders at the bar, and food available in the ground also, but once again the hosts operate a cashless stadium throughout the ground in all facilities.

We look forward to finally seeing our vociferous away support in a stadium once more!
