News From The Vale
Big news came out of the club on the eve of the Solihull Moors game as the Stones officially extended their lease at The Vale!
The new lease will expire on May 31 2026, but there are strong incentives for the club to vacate the ground by May 31 2031. Dominic Whyley, Wealdstone’s Acting Chairman and Financial Director, spoke to club media following the conclusion of the deal.
"I'm really keen for all of our supporters, shareholders, sponsors and other stakeholders to be fully conscious of just what an important moment this is in the club's history,” he said. "As the current custodians of this wonderful football club, the Board is acutely aware of the challenges which lie ahead of us - just as much as those which have been overcome during the past years and even decades.

Our man in form - Nathan Tshikuna: Over the last five games, there have not been many Stones players who have been more impactful than Nathan Tshikuna.
In addition to working hard defensively, Tshikuna has shown his goalscoring flair, scoring long-range efforts against Braintree Town and Solihull Moors, and showing good attacking nous to net against Brackley Town.
The attacking midfielder was also at his creative best last time out, picking up two assists, including making a clever poked pass through to Junior Tiensia.
His exploits on Saturday earned him an inclusion in the Non-League Paper Team of the Day!
Well done, Nathan, keep it up!
The Opposition
Recent form: LWWDD
League Position: 23rd
When the Stones were originally due to play Gateshead, the Heed were in what could only be described as utterly rotten form, though they have slightly turned things around in recent weeks.
The return of Rob Elliot, who had previously achieved success at the Gateshead International Stadium, has seen the Heed lift themselves off the foot of the table, and they will know that a win on Tuesday night will lift them out of the relegation zone for the first time in 2026.
The reverse fixture: Wealdstone secured a decent point in their last encounter against the Heed.
Dom Hutchinson opened the scoring early on after he charged down goalkeeper George Shelvey’s attempted clearance and diverted the ball into the Gateshead goal.
The visitors levelled just before half time as Kain Adom produced a sharp turn and finish which snuck inside Dante Baptiste’s near post.
In the second half, Sam Cox made a number of changes in search of a winner, but Adom scored his second goal of the game as the Heed caught the Stones on the break.
However, the Stones showed great fight and levelled the scoring late on. Nathan Tshikuna’s goal-bound strike was tipped onto the bar, but Max Kretzschmar was on hand to tap in the rebound.
The danger man - Harry Chapman: Harry Chapman is one of the most talented players in the fifth tier, and he has found both fitness and form in a slightly deeper role in recent weeks.
Traditionally an attacking midfielder or winger, Chapman has been deployed as more of a wing-back by the Heed, yet he has thrived.
The former Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United man has scored twice in his last three games, troubling defenders as he cuts inside from the left flank on his right foot.
Chapman is Gateshead’s top scorer in the National League this season (of players who are still at the club), and his experience and ability have been key to the Heed dragging themselves back into the relegation battle after briefly being cast adrift at the foot of the table.
Viewing Party at The Vale on Tuesday!
The Stones understand that many supporters will be unable to make the long trip north on a Tuesday night, so the game will be shown live at The Vale Social Club on the big screens!
The bar will be open from 7:00pm, and it would be great to create a match-like atmosphere from almost 300 miles away!
