PREVIEW | Dorking Wanderers (A)

Wealdstone head to Meadowbank on Saturday to face a strong pre-season test from National League South side Dorking Wanderers.

The game kicks off at 3PM and tickets are priced at £8 Adults and £4 Concessions & U18s. Tickets can be purchased in advance on our hosts website by clicking HERE, cash turnstiles will also be available on the day.

The game will prove a stern test for the Stones, the current National League South champions and holders, who head to the side who were the hot favourites to become the current holders of the league before the National League South season was curtailed at the start of 2021.

Saturday's friendly will be Dorking's tenth of the summer and they have won all nine pre-season games so far, with all but one of those coming against lower league opposition. They beat Bognor Regis Town 3-1 last weekend and defeated South Park by the same scoreline on Tuesday night.

The Stones are also unbeaten following the 1-1 draw away to EFL League Two side Colchester United in a rearranged behind closed doors fixture at Colchester's JobServe Community Stadium last weekend. Josh Umerah was on target from the spot to equalise for the Stones late on.

The sides have met only twice before, Dejon Noel-Williams scored twice in a 2-2 draw at Meadowbank in 2019 and a brace from Dennon Lewis and a Moses Emmanuel goal secured a 3-1 win for the Stones last time the two sides met in February 2020. Helping the Stones cement their place on top of the National League South before eventually going on to win the title that season.
