Ruislip to Canons Park is just a short trip on the tube via Wembley Park so it would be great to see plenty of fans in the club pre-match.

THE CONTEXT

Derby day returns once more with Barnet hosting Wealdstone fans for the first time ever at The Hive Stadium. With over 700 tickets sold at the time of writing it's sure to be a red-hot atmosphere in Edgware with plenty of history surrounding the clubs over past league and cup glories, the stadium and also between management teams. Former Stones boss Dean Brennan and the Bees current Head of Football is still in interim charge of the Barnet first team after taking over from Harry Kewell in September. Both teams go into the game in indifferent form, the Bees picked up a comfortable 3-1 victory at Aldershot Town last week but then lost 6-1 away to Notts County in midweek whilst the Stones earned a pleasing 2-1 victory over Yeovil Town in midweek off of the back of a 2-1 defeat at Grimsby Town.

TEAM NEWS

Stones boss Stuart Maynard has a near full-strength squad to choose from with Jack Cook, Nikola Tavares and Rhys Browne all returning from injury in midweek, meaning Andrew Eleftheriou is the only absentee on Saturday. New signings Aaron Henry and Nathan Ferguson both also made their debuts in the 2-1 win over Yeovil.

WHAT WAS SAID?

Stuart Maynard: "It will feel like a home game for us, probably even louder as our away support has been incredible all season from minute one to the 95th, they are incredible and we're going to need them Saturday. This is a game for the fans, it's a game for everyone behind the scenes who put incredible effort in over the years and it's good now that they are getting the rewards to see the club at the level we're at and competing. To be going into a derby game and to have 700 away fans, the club can be really proud of itself, especially the supporters."

FORM GUIDE

Stones:

Yeovil Town (H) 2-1 W (Umerah, Tavares) Grimsby Town (A) 2-1 L (Mascoll)

Notts County (H) 0-0 D

Woking (A) 2-0 L

Dover Athletic (H) 2-1 W (Stevens, Charles)

Barnet:

Notts County (A) 6-1 L (Mason-Clark) Aldershot Town (A) 1-3 W (Hall, Beard, Marriott)

Southend United (A) 2-1 L (Marriott) Stockport County (H) 0-5 L Chesterfield (H) 1-4 L (Richards-Everton)

WHO TO WATCH FOR?

Adam Marriott: Marriott was a summer signing for the Bees after a mid-season move to Eastleigh last term from King's Lynn Town didn't work out. Marriott was a revelation for the Linnets with his 66 goals in 99 games from the wing taking them from promotion from the Southern League Premier Division Central to the National League and after a spell at Eastleigh that only produced a single goal, he is back in form at the Bees with seven goals already this term, just two shy of his tally last season at both King's Lynn and Eastleigh.
