THE CONTEXT

Wealdstone end their 2021/22 National League season with the short trip to Hampshire to face Aldershot Town in the wake of management duo Stuart Maynard and Matt Saunders signing a new two-year deal with the club. With safety already secured for both sides, a win could mean the Stones finish the season as high as 15th whilst a win for the hosts could propel them above Eastleigh into 19th position.

TEAM NEWS

Alex Dyer continues his suspension for the red card he picked up against Yeovil Town on the May Day Bank Holiday. Nathan Ferguson, Medy Elito, Jerome Okimo and Rhys Browne all missed Saturday's win over King's Lynn with injury and could all be missing again on Sunday. George Wickens and Ashley Charles did return to the eleven on Saturday after missing the Bank Holiday fixtures and Andrew Eleftheriou is also an absentee having not played since October.

WHAT WAS SAID?

Stuart Maynard: "It was a good positive result on Saturday against King's Lynn, we'll take that into Sunday now, with the preparation being a little different with it being on a Sunday. It's a game we're looking forward to and wanting to finish the season on a high, they'll be wanting to do the same too after getting themselves out of the relegation scrap about four or five games ago as well."

FORM GUIDE

Stones:

King's Lynn Town (H) 2-1 W (Umerah, Jackson)

Yeovil Town (A) 0-0 D

Dagenham & Redbridge (H) 1-2 L (Umerah)

Altrincham (A) 4-2 L (Cooper, Umerah)

Boreham Wood (H) 2-0 W (Henry, Umerah)

Aldershot Town:

FC Halifax Town (A) 1-1 D (Ndjoli) Maidenhead United (A) 2-2 D (Armstrong, Panayiotou)

Notts County (H) 3-1 W (Ndjoli, Willard, Armstrong)

Bromley (A) 1-1 D (Ndjoli)

Solihull Moors (A) 2-1 L (Kinsella)

WHO TO WATCH FOR?

Sinclair Armstrong: Injury has hampered the young forward's loan stay with the Shots from QPR but when available the 18-year old striker has been a promising proposition. The energetic forward has scored twice in his four appearance for the club and if available on Sunday will pose a threat to the Stones defence.
