NEW DEAL | Obiero signs two-year contract

Wealdstone are delighted to announce forward Micah Obiero has signed a new two-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2025.

The versatile attacker made 32 appearances for the Stones after signing for the club in October 2022. With eight goals to his name, Obiero was the club’s top scorer as they recorded their highest league finish in 37 years, finishing 13th in the National League.

Obiero has looked a natural fit in Stuart Maynard’s attacking system, playing mainly on the right of a front three and was a key component in some of the Stones most notable victories throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

The 22-year-old scored an impressive brace in the 4-0 win against Altrincham and notched a calmly-taken last minute winner in the 2-1 victory away at Torquay United.

The club are delighted with the news regarding Obiero’s new contract and we can’t wait to see the promising young squad back in action at the Vale!

The Stones begin their 2023/24 National League campaign with a home tie against York City on Saturday at 3pm and you can get your tickets in advance, to save money HERE.
