Matchday Volunteers Required

As the club prepares to (hopefully) welcome fans back into the stadium for our opening fixtures, we are appealing for a pool of matchday volunteers to support the club in operating a COVID compliant facility and minimise the additional stewarding costs required to ensure the safety of players, supporters and officials.

The club are looking for around 20 volunteers to help manage the flow of people in the ground and provide help and advice on our COVID procedures. These individuals do not need to be qualified stewards and will be acting more in the role of a marshal. The club will continue to employ qualified stewards however we are looking to avoid excessive additional costs given the ever increasing damage to our finances caused by COVID-19.

If we receive sufficient volunteers, the intention is that you will only be required on a rotational basis (hopefully for 1 game in 3).  It is also hoped that once the required protocols are embedded then less on the ground support will be required. The club will review these requirements on a game by game basis.

You will be required to arrive at the ground around 1pm-1.30pm for a briefing and maintain your position until the ground has emptied of supporters.  Although our ground capacity is likely to be very limited we want to ensure that all in attendance have the required assistance to feel safe.

In return for your assistance you will receive a snack voucher, a free drink voucher and, if you are a season ticket a credit / discount against your season ticket purchase.

If you require any further information on the roles and have a potential interest in helping the club during these challenging times, please contact nicksymmons@btinternet.com.

As always, we thank you in advance for any support you can offer.
