MATCHDAY INFO | Aldershot Town (H)
After Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Boreham Wood, the Stones are back in action on Tuesday evening for the hastily rearranged fixture against Aldershot Town following the postponement of the original fixture on the 1st April due to a waterlogged pitch at Grosvenor Vale.
With three of the final four games at home the Stones will be looking to finish the season strongly and aim to achieve the clubs highest league position since the 1985/86 season, where the Stones finished 10th in the then-named Alliance Premier League (now the National League).
Aldershot currently find themselves in a relegation battle with just one place and two points separating them from the relegation zone and it was only a crucial 82nd minute winner on Saturday against already relegated Scunthorpe United that earnt the three points keeping the Shots above Torquay United, who currently occupy the final relegation place.
Here is a quick matchday guide as to what to expect….
Turnstiles will open just before 6:45PM and we kindly ask all supporters – home and away – to arrive early to ensure you are in the ground in plenty of time for the 7:45PM kick off.
This match we will be segregated with Aldershot supporters allocated the Hawthorn Terrance and the aptly-named Shots Stands for standing and the MODU stand for Seating.
Aldershot supporters must use the away turnstiles which are clearly signposted at the entrance to Grosvenor Vale.
The Vale Social Club within Grosvenor Vale will be open to only Wealdstone supporters, all of whom are invited to sample some of the fine beverages on sale. The bar will be open from 5:30PM.
Post-match, The Vale will remain open for Wealdstone supporters only.
As a result of Easter Mondays postponement tickets will continue to be sold for the Easter Raffle around the ground. There are lots of great prizes on offer including a 5KG hand made Wealdstone branded Easter Egg, a chocolate hamper, a Ninja air fryer, a Bosch lawn mower, a set of wireless headphones and much more…
Tickets for Troops
Plenty of members of the armed forces are expected to attend after we recently partnered up with the charity “Tickets for troops” which provides free tickets to members of the armed forces.
Tickets for Schools
There will again be a family feel at the stadium as we continue our “Tickets for Schools” initiative after it was paused for the recent Barnet and Tuesday night fixtures. We will be welcoming 100 pupils and parents from Vaughan School in Harrow. The scheme is designed to engage youngers with football and provides free tickets to local school children to come and see elite sport in action.
Food & Refreshments
A full food menu provided by our award-winning match day caterers DDs is available to all supporters and a wide range of options are offered. You can find the menu below...
Tickets will be available to purchase at the turnstiles for both Wealdstone and Aldershot fans and both cash and credit cards are accepted. However, we encourage all fans to purchase online in advance to minimise queuing time at the turnstile.
The award winning matchday programme will be available to purchase at the entrance to Grosvenor Vale site and at various points outside the stadium and the club shop will be open.
Parking is street only or at various public car parks nearby, we encourage all fans to travel to the game by public transport.
Access to Grosvenor Vale is limited to those vehicles who have been given prior authorisation by the clubs General Manager. Any vehicle attempting to gain access to the stadium who has not had prior authorisation will be turned away.
The entrance to Grosvenor Vale must not be used as a drop off or pick area and anyone attempting to do so will be refused entry. Access to Grosvenor Vale for all vehicles will cease at 7:15PM with the entire area becoming pedestrianised to allow fans on foot to arrive safely to the stadium.
And last but not least, we sincerely hope that both sets of fans enjoy the game!
