LOAN NEWS | Henry returns to Stones
Charlton Athletic's Aaron Henry has returned again to Wealdstone, with the Stones capturing the exciting, talented young midfielder on loan for the remainder of the season.
He had a successful first loan period at The Vale at the back end of the 2021/22 season, playing 20 games and scoring twice; two blistering free-kicks against Stockport County and Boreham Wood.
The 20-year old was delighted to be back: "This is the perfect place for me to be now. I've always been watching and looking at how Wealdstone are doing and I think we've got a good chance to do something really good here this year, we're in a lot higher position than when I joined last time too.
"I already know half the squad and more, Charlie Barker's here who I came through with at Charlton and the staff have always been welcoming and really good with me since I was last here, so I'm really looking forward to being back."
His performances along with fellow loanees George Wickens, Connor McAvoy and Charles Clayden helped the Stones comfortably secure their National League status for another season.
Since then he has made 25 more appearances for Charlton and scored his first goals, including a screamer against QPR in the Carabao Cup, starting a run which also saw him play against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals last season.
He has spent the first half of this season on loan at Crawley Town in League Two where he has made 17 appearances.
He'll wear the number 26 shirt and goes straight into Saturday's squad that heads to Ebbsfleet United.
