Charles and Dyer represent countries

Wealdstone midfield duo Ashley Charles and Alex Dyer completed their international duty this week in the CONCACAF Nations League, with Dyer becoming Montserrat's record appearance holder after earning two more caps for the Emerald Boys, whilst Charles earned his fourth and fifth cap for Grenada.

Dyer's Montserrat side began the week well, with a 99th minute winner earning them a 3-2 victory away in Barbados, a game which he was booked in, before ending the tour with a 3-0 defeat away to Dominican Republic.

Dyer played the full game in both fixtures, taken by new Montserrat manager Lee Bowyer, taking his cap total to 25, putting him ahead of the then-joint appearance holder Dean Mason and giving Dyer the honour of being the most-capped Montserratian.

Charles also played in both of Grenada's games last week. Like Dyer, he was booked in his first game and was also playing under a new manager in Terry Connor. The Spice Boys drew 1-1 with Suriname at the Kirani James Stadium before travelling to Honduras where his side were beaten 4-0 by one of the competition favourites.

Both players are scheduled to return to training this week and will be available for selection as the Stones host Altrincham this Saturday at Grosvenor Vale.
