Askew joins Barnet
Wealdstone's 19-year old goalkeeper Jake Askew has today joined National League rivals Barnet.
The young goalkeeper, who grew up just a short distance from The Vale and attended many games as a youngster, joined the Stones last season from Chelsea.
After spending most of the season as deputy to Harry Isted and Stuart Moore, he made his first-team debut against his new club as the Stones ran out 5-1 winners on Easter Monday, and ended the season with total of eight appearances last season and winning Junior Stones Player of the Season.
We wish Jake all the best with his move and thank him for his efforts at the Stones last season.
