ACADEMY LEADERSHIP UPDATE

It is with genuine regret that we announce the departure of Cameron Mawer from his role as Head of Academy. Due to family commitments, Cameron has found it necessary to step away from his role.

Over the past four years, Cameron has played a pivotal role in the remarkable growth of the academy. What began as a single site programme with just 12 boys has developed into one of the most respected academies outside the EFL. Today, the academy supports more than 150 players aged 16 to 23 across three sites and proudly holds the National League Licence, enabling our prospects to compete at the highest level of academy football outside the EFL.

We would like to sincerely thank Cameron for his exceptional contribution and dedication and we wish him and his family every success for the future. He leaves with the highest regard from everyone at the club.

Following Cameron’s departure, we are pleased to confirm that Eric Negraru will be expanding his role as Community Foundation Coordinator to also serve as Academy Secretary. In this expanded capacity, Eric will take on a range of key administrative responsibilities essential to managing an academy of this scale.

Eric will assume his new duties with immediate effect and we look forward to supporting him in this important role.
