Our official Supporters Club have made a significant contribution to the club once again, with a £15,000 donation to purchase glistening new dugouts at Grosvenor Vale, amidst changes to the number of substitutes allowed in league matches.
National League rules now state that as of the 2024/25 season clubs can name up to seven substitutes on their bench, with five able to be used during a match. Such changes meant that an upgrade was needed on the existing dugouts at the Vale, and the donation provided by the Supporters Club allowed for these necessary changes to be made.
Supporters Club run events such as the 'Wembley Fanzones', hosted for fans of Manchester City, Peterborough, Coventry, Bolton and Southampton, before their recent finals under the arch, saw tremendous interest and were a big factor in generating the income that enabled the £15,000 donation to be made.
"The board are very grateful for this donation," said Stones Chairman Rory Fitzgerald. Without the Supporters Club's contribution, valuable funds would have been diverted away from the playing side."
Mark Randall, Supporters Club Chairman said “Once again, through the hard work of many people, we have been able to make a sizeable donation to the main club. We are always looking for more helpers and I will guarantee that you can make a big difference to the club”.
There is a long history of significant donations from the Supporters Club to the main club to help with new signings and infrastructure improvements, and this latest donation underlines the importance of the work that they do.
