Wealdstone Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of left-back George McLennan.

The 23-year-old is a left-footed full-back who started his early career at Gillingham and Reading, before spending time on loan at Hayes & Yeading United in the National League South during 2015.

Ahead of the 2015/16 season, McLennan signed for Cheltenham Town in the National League and made over 30 appearances in the Robins' title-winning centurion season.

After a spell with Sutton United, McLennan joined Maidstone United at the start of last season and played alongside Wealdstone midfielder Michael Phillips.

McLennan signed a short-term deal with Billericay Town earlier this month and made his first appearance in the National League South since 2015.

Our new signing has represented Scotland at youth level and will be available for selection ahead of our FA Cup tie at Farnborough tomorrow.
