Stones bring in award-winning caterers

The club are delighted to announce a new partnership with Dd’s Diner, a part of the awarding-winning Manhattan Grill Company.

The club want to offer supporters the very best food and drink on match days as well as other events held at The Vale – and believes appointing Dd’s Diner will do just that.

Plans announced today include a complete transformation of the Stones burger bar and the introduction of a new modern catering unit for home fans. In addition, coffee machines will be added to all the units including the T-bar. The new match day menu will include the normal football fare but with DD’s unique twist ,as well as the introduction of chilli dogs, BBQ'd pulled pork, skin on fries and Cumberland sausages.

“This is unbelievable for us and we’re so proud to be doing it," said Sam Remblance, owner of Dd’s Diner. "It says a lot for the owners and management of Wealdstone that they are looking to dramatically improve the range and quality of food in the ground on match day. We want to play our part and help make Wealdstone famous for having the best match day offering in football. We can’t wait to get started.”

There will a transition phase as the required changes are implemented. This means whilst all units will be open and selling a selection of Dd’s menu on Saturday, there will be an additional catering unit in the forecourt offering the full menu. This additional unit will be accessible for supporters before, during and after the match.

“We’re really excited to be working with Sam and the team from Dd’s and the Manhattan Grill Company," said Richard Hopwood, the club's General Manager. "They have been building a strong reputation within football and will be known by some fans already as they have run the match day catering for many years at Chelmsford and Ebbsfleet amongst others. The Chairman and Board made it clear that improving the overall match day experience for supporters was a top objective and bringing in Sam and his team will do just that.”
