Squad update ahead of home games against Chesterfield and Wrexham
Stuart Maynard has been boosted by the news that four key players are back in training.
Nathan Ferguson, Ashley Charles, Max Kretzschmar and Mason Barrett all trained on Saturday and now Maynard must decide in conjunction with the fitness team of Michael Owen and Rachel Hill when is the right time to integrate them back into the XI given their injuries and the time they have been on the sidelines. The Stones host Chesterfield on Tuesday and Wrexham on Saturday.
Kretzschmar has been missing since coming off in the away against Maidstone United with a hamstring problem. Ferguson missed the Boreham Wood FA Cup game due to a family bereavement and has been sidelined since with a calf problem. Charles has been sidelined for the last three with an ankle issue while Barrett has been managing a hamstring problem since the win at Gateshead.
Malachi Napa remains out with an ankle issue. Maynard will also be without loan defender Deji Elerewe who has been recalled by Charlton. The Addicks have asked for the 19-year-old to be sent back to The Valley after Terrell Thomas become the latest addition to their injury list.
"We spoke about it in the technical board meeting," said Charlton manager Ben Garner. "Deji has played pretty much every game for Wealdstone."
Elerewe made 13 starts for the Stones and we'd like to thank him for his contribution on and off the field this season. Fellow Charlton loanee Charlier Barker remains with us while Maynard and the board are in discussions over a loan deal for a centre half.
