THE CONTEXT

Wealdstone picked up their first win of the season on Saturday as a late Medy Elito penalty saw off a stern challenge from Altrincham, that win moved the Stones into 15th place after five games. Notts County picked up a 1-1 draw away to Weymouth but remain unbeaten and in fifth place after two wins and three draws.

TEAM NEWS

Apart from Connor Stevens who is nearing a return, Stones boss Stuart Maynard has a full squad to choose from ahead of Tuesday night's match. Ira Jackson made his debut in Saturday's win over Altrincham and Zach Dronfield has headed out on loan to Hampton & Richmond Borough.

WHAT WAS SAID?

Stuart Maynard: "For us we have played some big teams already and had quite a difficult start to the season, there's no free hits, we're quite competitive now. We're going into the game and they're favourites, near on all the games we will go into this year we're going to be the underdogs. We're not silly, we know that for different reasons like resources, part time and all of that but we've got a competitive squad that are well drilled now and as we saw against Altrincham, defensively well drilled, we've got patterns of play to get us up the pitch. We got into the final third loads against Altrincham and made a lot of chances."

WHO TO WATCH FOR?

Kyle Wootton: Vice-captain Wootton is County's talisman up top and has started the new National League season brightly, scoring in all but one of their fixtures so far this season. The striker has great hold up play but also an eye for goal and is a constant threat to defenders, scoring 37 times in both his seasons so far with the Magpies.
