Welcome Michael Phillips!

Wealdstone Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Michael Phillips.

The versatile 21-year-old was voted Maidstone United's Player of the Season in 2018/19 when the Kent-based side were in the National League after his first full season in men's football.

Phillips began his career at Crystal Palace's academy. He never made an appearance for the Eagles first team, but the midfielder was the top goalscorer of the Under-18s side in 2014/15.

Our new signing is extremely versatile, he has experience playing in central midfield, right-back, centre-half and even as a goalkeeper where he made a 90th minute penalty save against Charlton Athletic Under-18s.

Phillips has been part of the Wealdstone pre-season set-up, playing against Watford Under-23s and Brentford 'B'.
