"I will give my all," says Sam Cox

Sam Cox says he is proud to have been asked to lead the team for the final five games of the National League season.

The one-time Supporters Club Player of the Year' and 'Junior Stones Player of the Year' will call on his experience as a player at the Stones and his coaching experience at Tottenham to the lead team in games against Southend United, Dorking Wanderers, Chesterfield, Eastleigh and Oldham Athletic.

"Humbled and honored to step into the role of manager until the end of the season," Cox, 33, posted on social media. "I will give my all to help lead our team to safety over these next 5 games. With all of your support, I truly believe we can overcome our current situation."

Cox replaces David Noble and Neil Banfield who have left their roles as manager and assistant manager.

"I’d also like to thank David & Neil for the time we worked together,' he wrote. "Two absolute gentlemen and great human beings who gave everything."

Cox takes charge of the team for the first time on Tuesday night at home to Southend United. Get advanced, discounted tickets HERE.
