Champions Celebration cancelled

As a club, we have decided to cancel our planned title-winning celebration on Saturday 4th July.

Given that we put the safety of our ‘Wealdstone Family’ at the heart of all our decision making and that yesterday we were made aware by the National League that we would be unable to present the Championship Trophy; we feel that it is not quite the right time to proceed as originally planned.

We have decided to open the clubhouse and grounds under strict COVID-19 guidelines from 12pm, so please do feel free to come down and support the club on its first day of opening post-lockdown. The Management team and some players will also be in attendance and we are still running a BBQ.

Championship and club merchandise will also be available to purchase along with ‘Early Bird’ season tickets for our first season back at the pinnacle of non-league football in 32 years. More than ever we need your support and every single purchase will help the 2020/21 season.

This has been a difficult decision to make as our players, staff and supporters deserve the chance to celebrate this remarkable landmark in the club’s history.

Rest assured that we will celebrate this achievement in the coming months, but for now we feel that the reward does not outweigh the risk. We thank everyone involved in the set up of the event but especially Andrew Lavin, Paul Rumens and Leo Morris or their support.
